• Asanteman Association of the Carolinas

As a democratic, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization, the purposes of the Association are to:



  1. Unite Asantes in the Carolinas.
  2. Promote the social, moral, educational, and general welfare of its members.
  3. Provide a source of cultural enrichment, and promote interest, inform and educate the general community about Asante culture.
  4. Instill and inculcate in the youth the love and pride of Asante’s cultural heritage.
  5. Provide social networking and support for the members.
  6. Organize periodic workshops to educate members on pertinent issues, such as Asante culture and traditions, legal, immigration, health, employment, insurance, and investments.
  7. Project a good image of Asantes in the Carolinas.
  8. Support Asanteman development efforts by motivating and educating members to financially support educational, health, and other social programs in Asanteman.
  9. Develop linkages to and network with other African ethnic groups and participate in inter-cultural exchange programs.
  10. Assist the needy financially and in kind.
  11. Contribute to the development of the Carolina communities by performing voluntary services.
